I currently have a student teacher in my classroom.  Her university supervisor was making one of her scheduled visits recently and commented that the technology in my classroom was so much more than what she sees in many of the other schools.  That really please me.  My SMART board is such an integral part of our daily class lessons.  The students are very comfortable working on specific tasks with the laptops from our mobile lab.  The wireless internet makes it easy to quickly look up answers to the questions that arise.  We are thrilled to be able to have and to use the technology!

St. Paul Lutheran Academy is a wonderful school where your child can grow and excel.  The faculty are dedicated to the students and are able to provide individual attention as needed.  One of the things we love about the school is that all grades interact with each other which builds a sense of community for the kids.  My preschooler loves the school and can not wait to get there every morning!  She is so excited to learn and explore new ideas and that is a direct result of enthusiasm shown by her teacher!

Elaine and Pat Bridges: Our son has attended St. Paul Lutheran Academy since he was in kindergarten. Now he is in the seventh grade and is doing very well. He has received individual attention that has helped him achieve a high grade point average. We appreciate the dedication and skill that all of the faculty possesses and shares with the students. It's a great school.

St Paul Lutheran Academy in Skokie is a great school for preschoolers to 8th grade! It gives our children a Christ centered education and the morals are based on God's standards! There is no bullying, cursing, or fighting in our school! We have a playground for our kids, a full gym, our own lunchroom with hot catered food, small class sizes, challenging curriculum, extended care is offered and much more!

My son loves St. Paul. He is thriving socially and academically. His math skills have improved three grade levels since last year. The teachers are professional and caring. I am so glad that we enrolled him at this school.

Our two kids have done very well at St. Paul Academy.  The faculty are very well-qualified and dedicated to their craft and to their students.  All the kids in the school know each other and all the staff know all the kids, making for a very positive social environment.  Our students perform at or above national and state norms, spend more than double the time in music than neighboring schools, and receive a solid Christian education each day.  We feel that St. Paul Lutheran Academy gives our students a solid foundation from which to build as they move on to high school, college and beyond.

We have both our kids at St. Paul and love both the education they are receiving and the social environment of the school.  Since our kids are quiet types, we were concerned about bullying, but it has been a total non-issue at St. Paul.  All the kids know each other, from Preschool through 8th, and all the adults and kids know each other.  What a great environment to foster intellectual and moral learning.
The math instruction in the upper grades is excellent and our older student will be graduating having completed Freshman-level maths.  Also in junior high, each student completes a creative writing assignment each week, giving them lots of practice becoming adept at using English to communicate, a skill that will never go out of style.

Since we are a private school and do not have ISAT test scores, we can not be rated at this site.  You should know that we annually administer the Stanford Achievement Test.  Our students' scores are available on site.  Based on our November 2010 test data, 80% of our students scored higher than the national norm, which is higher than the state norm.  We pride ourselves on teaching our students how to take tests; we do not teach children content merely for the sake of scoring on a test.  Our programs and classroom instruction allow teachers to teach children how to think and solve problems.

I switched my son mid year to this school last year and was more than pleasantly surprised with the school and all it had to offer.  We switched from a highly rated public school where we struggled with the "box" and standardized teaching practices.  Now we have a program that teaches the students to think and problem solve verse one that teaches how to do well on a standardized test.  The kids are really learning here not just memorizing.  The teachers are caring and passionate about the students and truely care about the education they are providing.  A welcome change.  Currently I have my two oldest children attending and I am looking forward to another wonder year of real learning.
