Nurturing Development Learning Center #2
: I read the post by Trina Downs and I was there when the hand foot and mouth was going around. My son actually had it and his doctor explained to me in detail that exposure could have taken place anywhere from 3 to 5 days before showing symptoms and once exposed, a child could be contagious before showing ANY symptoms. Apparently, hand foot and mouth disease has taken the place of chicken pox and is becoming more and more prevalent every year. My children have been with NDLA for over 3 years and the place has always been clean. I know the teachers sanitize regularly - I have seen them soaking toys. I also know that when the hand foot and mouth thing was going on they had the least number of cases compared to other centers in the area. The part of the statement that upsets me is Trina Downs says that NDLA has no regard for the health and safety but in the same breath complains that they sent her child home with a fever... CONTRADICTORY... I think so!

I agree that the fees to remove can be high but they tell us that when we enroll. All you have to do to avoid the fees is let them know two weeks in advance that your children are leaving. The only "extra" fees I have ever had to pay were summer camp (SO WORTH IT) and late fees when I didn't pay my co-pay on the date due... again, they tell you about that when you enroll...

: this school was very impressionable like love at first sight after my children were there two months i had to pick my son up for a fever and sore throat then two weeks after pick him up again only to find out he acquired hand foot mouth disease from the school!!! ALL the money they pul in from all the children and they cannot afford to buy lysol pr pay someone to clean the toys with a bleach and water solution on a daily basis!!! Then had the nerve audacity and unlitigated gall to try and charge a $800.00 fee called a non notice fee because they were absent because of it. This school is like every other school looking to collect money and kids with no regard for health and safety of ur children.
