Sister Henrica Buchert: As a former teacher from 1978- 1984 and now a volunteer I see how well the school is adjusting to modern technology and wonderful programs for the students education. I appreciate the financial struggle the parents must have to keep their children in the school and the sacrifices they and the dedicated teachers make so that the children can acquire an excellent education.  Thank you all.

My three children have been at St. Joe's since preschool and are now hitting the upper grades.  We've been extremely impressed by the quality and dedication of the teachers, the strength of the curriculum and the wonderful community of families.  I really like the idea of having the big range of ages all in one place.  The older kids really see themselves as role models and act accordingly around the younger grades.  The younger kids look up to the bigger ones.  St. Joe's graduates have also achieved great success in high school and college, and I am confident that my kids will be well prepared and do the same.

I think St. Joseph is the best place for my kids. They have been doing very well for five years now. The school now offers a Junior Kindergarten (all day) program that is a great addition to what is already a wonderful school. The school has a great feel from the teachers to the parent involvement. I would recommend it!

Andrew Yeager: As a parent of three children who have been enrolled at St Joseph since 2003 (my neices and a nephew also attend), I can say from experience what a wonderful school this is.  In Wilmette, a child would have to attend four public schools from pre-school through 8th grade.  A nice alternative to that is a school like St. Joseph, where grades pre-school through 8th are all under one roof.  The teachers are outstanding, as shown by the number of 8th graders who place out of freshman subjects at the local high schools (New Trier, Loyola Academy, Regina).  We enjoy the small class size as no child is left without the attention they deserve.  STJ's has a modern computer center, and facilities that are in excellent condition (the PSO fundraising not only keeps tuition very reasonable, but also ensures there are funds for projects).  Beyond the classroom, I've never been a part of a stronger, more supportive school community.  Fun events for parents and children through-out the year are well attended.  I'm not sure many parents can say they know the parents of all their children's classmates, but I honestly do.  They are good friends.  I never worry about the education and the values my children receive from teachers and fellow students.  We really love St. Joseph.
