What is it?

The The Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students in grades 3 through 10 are assessed in English/language arts and math and in grades 5 and 7 in science.

How is it Scored?

Students are rated at one of three levels:"did not pass", "pass", or "pass+". The goal is for all students to score at or above the "pass" level. Students must pass the grade 10 ISTEP+ in order to graduate from high school.

Batesville Primary School

Kelley Bedel: This is my oldest child's first year of Kindergarten and it's been great so far! They have a wide range of classes already: art, music, gym, Computer, library, math, spelling, etc... They promote good choices in the children and teach them to be respectful to others. They have great contact with the parents as well to inform them exactly what is happining specifically in my child's classroom as well as the school as a whole. I'm excited to be able to volunteer there next year when my youngest will be in preschool.
