Lighthouse Christian Academy

Terrible school. I went there for two years of my life ages 13-14. I was openly gay and persecuted by teachers more then I was by students who were actually loving and accepting. I had multiple teachers tell me being gay was wrong, that gays went to "heck", that the lifestyle was dangerous and a sin. Every time I pointed out that A.)they were entitled to their own opinion, and B.)The Bible says all sins are equal, they completely ignored me and sent me to the principles office for "rebelling" when I was defending myself from personal attacks. Their education is a joke, teachers were more concerned about flirting with the girls in high school then they were about answering your questions. All the students there hate it and want to go to Bloomington North or South. Don't send your child here, they're just another tuition paying a teachers salary. They don't care if your child acts up or has problems and they won't punish students as they're too afraid of the parent taking them out of the school and then they lose money. Take it from me, a former student now graduated and in the real world.
