I think Summit Elementary school is a wonderful place for my children. The staff is very caring and the students are kind and come from different socioeconomic backgrounds, which provides sensitivity towards others and a real world experience.

Chandra Benson: My daughter has been at Summit since the doors first opened. The teachers and staff have been wonderful, the parent teacher relations are very important, they do a great job getting to know you.

Summit Elementary School
I believe that Summit staff go out of thier way to accomadate parents.To give them the sense of being involved in thier child's education. I have never met any more caring people than here. They explaing the issues to you until you are comfortable and understand. I am glad my children go here! We can never express our thanks enough!

What is it?
The The Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 10 are assessed in English/language arts and math and in grades 5 and 7 in science.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of three levels:"did not pass", "pass", or "pass+". The goal is for all students to score at or above the "pass" level. Students must pass the grade 10 ISTEP+ in order to graduate from high school.
