Carmel Elementary School

I am the parent of a typically developing child and child with special needs (Down syndrome) This is our first year at Carmel Elementary and I must say I Couldn't be happier with both gen ed at this school and the special education team. They are inclusive, though inclusion IS the law, our last district was very segregated. They are offering needed services, with no fight.  They saw us as part of the team, not nagging parents, and our child as a person, with  hopes and dreams for the future. My child that does not have special needs is being challenged and likes his teacher and the school very much.
