John M Culver Elementary School

Richard Harvey: Just a comment by a former student during the 1930s.
I entered kindergarten, maybe in the same building,  in Jan-Feb 1934. The school's name was then Campbell School, named after the then principal, Mr. Campbell.  When in the 2nd or 3rd grade, (1937 or '38) he was an aged man, and a distinguished educator.  In later years, our principal was John Culver, again a kindly and intelligent educator who subsequently became principal at my high school - Bosse.  I was 13 or 14 in 1942-43 when I left Culver for Bosse.

Most important here - I wish for strength and wisdom for each of the staff at Culver School.  I know it's not easy these days of "no new taxes" and unemployment.  Even during the depression of the 1930s Culver was certainly was a good place for children, and I'm certainly hoping with confidence that progress continues today at Culver.  I wish I could help.
