I think this school is the worst school in Hammond! It does not care one bit about its students!!! Exactly why my kid goes to the Charter School now! Finally a school that cares wheather or not it's students succeed! At Scott, the teachers are the most uncaring, most unprofessional and non-supportive group of individuals that I have EVER come in contact with!!! They want to scream about parent involvement?? Well, what about the support the parents should get from the teachers to work together to get your child where they need to be. No wonder there are so many dicipline and failing issues. The students can see the teachers don't care, so why should they??? Do yourself a favor and look into other options for your childs education before sending your child to this tragic failure of a school!!!

I work at Scott Middle and see the day to day activity of the students. Overall the school is very safe and strict. We work with what we have. The Asst. Principal and Dean of Students are overwhelmed with the discipline problems but handle them fairly and professionally. I see a lack of parent involvement unless their child has been disciplined, then they are there to defend them even when they are wrong. I'm sorry to say, the apples do not fall to far from the trees. I am proud to say that I work there and have helped shaped many young lives to be productive citizens and put a few of them behind bars.
