Brookview Elementary is a school that makes parents feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door.  Great front office staff, caring administrators, fabulous teachers.  We have amazing teachers who know how to meet each child's individual needs and who really seem invested in our kids.  Some of our classes loop so that the children have the same teacher and classmates for 2 years in a row.  We have a PAWS behaviour plan that encourages and rewards good citizenship.  Our specials area teachers make art, gym and music highlights of the day.  Our music teacher produces an amazing Winter Musical each year with our 3rd & 5th grade students.  Our 5th graders have an opportunity to take a trip to Washington, DC each spring.  We became an ESL school this year and the new mix of families has enriched the school environment.  We have fun after school events like science night, a fall carnival, a cultural fair, literacy nights, Dad's Club movie nights and a very active award-winning PTA.  The building is just a few years old and has been maintained well.

"This school has absolutely changed my son's life! He is a brilliant kid who has a learning disability, and the staff absolutely understands his situation and teaches the way he learns! They are so insightful, understanding and capable, I feel lucky that we are part of that community."

"They have a newly built building which is absolutely gorgeous and very well laid out. In general the staff is caring, but firm. Only bad thing is that parent involvement is not encouraged. Yet!!"
