About the ISTEP
What is it?
The The Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress-Plus (ISTEP+) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 10 are assessed in English/language arts and math and in grades 5 and 7 in science.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of three levels:"did not pass", "pass", or "pass+". The goal is for all students to score at or above the "pass" level. Students must pass the grade 10 ISTEP+ in order to graduate from high school.
About the ECA
What is it?
The ISTEP+ End-of-Course Assessments (ECAs) are criterion-referenced assessments used to measure a student's mastery of the state's academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in Algebra I, Biology I, or English 10 at the end of each course.
How is it Scored?
The End-of-Course Assessments are scored as did not pass or pass and the state's goal is for all students to pass the test.

parent of twins: My children have been attending Christel House for the past six years. I am very pleased with not only the education they receive but also the amount of character that they instill in the children. There is a system set up to help children who may be fallen behind with extra help in math and reading as needed. They have all sorts of after school activities and Saturday school for kids who need that little extra help. From the very studious child to the one who may struggle Christel house works hard to educate them all.
