The Hutson School

Jennifer: This school is wonderful.  My son has been there since Jan 2010.  Since being there he has excelled in every way.  In his class he has two teachers and 8 boys.  They are taught in small groups and move ahead at their own pace.  Nobody is there to make them feel stupid if they dont understand something.  I work in the public school system and would not dream of removing him from the school.  

They have learning communities to help a child in their area of need, guided reading, 1 on 1 tutoring, and speech therapy all to help a child move ahead.  And the education does not stop there, there is art, drama, and music classes to enrich their educational experience more.  Combine all that with their wide range of after school programs (art lessons, craft club, game club, boys club, girls club, jumprope club, drama club, boys basketball and girls volleyball) and you have a top notch school.

Mary conway: Hutson has been a life saver for my son!! The admInistration and staff work tirelessly to ensure each child is supported emotionally as well as academically !!  They all treat the individual child , mindful of each child's abilities and strengths. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful school here in indianapolis!!!

David: This school has been a blessing for my son.  He was classified as a dyslexic non-reader in first grade.  We pulled him out of the public schools that refused to provide any help.  Since he has been at Hutson he has been able to move ahead into third grade. He is reading on grade level and excelling in mathematics. He receives all the individualized instruction he needs and then some.  The staff at Hutson is amazing. They are the most welcoming friendly group I have ever met.  Mrs. George the head of school is a gift from heaven to the students and families at Hutson.  If you are looking for a school that helps children with learning differences, don't hesitate to check out this fantastic school.

Shelley: My daughter has been attending Hutson for four years and it has been our saving grace!!!  I can't imagine where we would be without Hutson and this is coming from someone who was extremely apprehensive when she first started!  Each year her class size has been 5-6 kids.  And now with the addition of the guided reading I am excited about the extra individual attention she is receiving.  Her math skill is now past her grade which is amazing considering when we came to the school regular addition/subtraction was a struggle!  

Hutson continues to get better with each year with such things as Cogmed being added!  I highly recommend it to anyone who has a child struggling with learning disabilities!!

This is a wonderful school with a student to teacher ratio of 6-1. My child is making wonderful gains. Thank you Hutson for saving my family.

The Hutson School has changed our son's life!  He no longer resists going to school but is now excited to go.   He is overcoming his learning disability and knows how to advocate for himself.   We feel the school will prepare him to succeed in college.  Thank you to the outstanding teachers and staff!!  This is a must school to consider for a child with dyslexia.  Our son's future is limitless because of the education he is receiving here.  THANK YOU HUTSON!

The Hutson School is excellent...it has changed my childs life for only the better.  If you have a child with dyslexia this is a must school to consider.  Our son has been a student for three years and he will be a Hutson High School graduate in the future.  His life has endless posibilities because of this wonderful school.
