Eastwood Elementary School
THIS IS A GOOD SCHOOL IF YOU PUT THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN IT. YOU NEED UNDERSTANDING AND CARING PEOPLE. ONES WHO CARE ABOUT THE CHILDREN. YOU WILL GET A LOT FUTHER WITH THE STUDENTS IF THERE ARE MORE TEACHERS THAT CAN TAKE THE TIME AND HELP THE STUDENTS INSTEAD OF STATING THAT EASTWOOD CHILDREN ARE NOT WORTH THEIR TIME OR EFFORT. SO THERE IS A LOT OF NEGETIVITY AND I BELEIVE THIS HAS A LOT TO DO WITH THE SCHOOLS PROBLEM. THE CHILDREN ARE SCARED TO DEATH TO GO TO SCHOOL ANYMORE. THEY BELEIVE THAT EVEN IF THEY SNEEZE THAT THE WHOLE CLASS WILL BE PUNISHED AND THIS HAS HAPPENED. OR THAT THEY WILL BE DRUG DOWN THE HALL BY THE HAIR OF THEIR HEAD AND PUT IN A CLOSET, AND I HAVE HAD CHILDREN OF ALL AGES TELL STORIES OF SEEING THIS HAPPEN. IF A CHILD IS FRIGHTENED TO GO TO SCHOOL THEN HOW DO YOU EXPECT THEM TO ACHEIVE ANYTHING. THE ONLY THING THEY ARE GOING TO LEARN IS HOW TO TRY TO KEEP FROM GETTING IN TROUBLE. I USE POSITIVE REINFORCMENTS TO GET MY CHILDREN THROUGH NONE OF IT COMES FROM THE SCHOOL. THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL FOR THE CHILDREN TO LOOK FORWARD TO A EASTWOOD. JUST WORK WORK WORK. I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE WAYS THE TEACHERS REACT TO THE STUDENTS IT IS REALLY SAD. I KNOW OF A LOT OF STUDENTS AS WELL AS GOOD TEACHERS THAT ARE LEAVING DUE TO THE WAY THE EASTWOOD IS BEING RUN NOW. IF NEED BE I WILL TAKE MY CHILDREN OUT TOO. YES EASTWOOD NEEDS HELP. BUT YOU NEED TO START WITH THE STAFF.
