About the ITBS
What is it?
The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) are annual norm-referenced tests used to measure a student's mastery of certain subjects. ITBS results are compared to other students' results across the nation.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in reading and math in grades 3 through 8.
How is it Scored?
Students are scored on a percentile rank. The goal is for all students to score at or above the 40th percentile.
