Fort Knox High School Reviews

Overrated

By a Parent on

Ft. Knox is overrated. Poor communication. They rely on the Internet too much. They don't give new students time to adjust. Homework is ridiculous. Forget any family time or outside activities. Lunch provided at the school is poor. Don't get excited about band. Basically, a child who wants a social life will hate this school within a very short time. Don't be surprised if you have a straight A student that now has B, C, D and F when they are at this school. I had a child who was very determined to get A's and now after 4 months doesn't care about grades and only wants to leave. [Edited for grammar by Education.com]

The teacher are bullied and forced to change grades to the students and parents' liking.  The Terra Nova test scores are horrible and don't really assess true learning of the high school content.  They have new buildings and high salaries, but the graduates don't really go on to college; most go to the military.  The school is a mockery of why public education even exists.
