Hayfield Montessori School Reviews
This school has been an utter disappointment. Montessori schools are, of course, open to interpretation. However, my child has had no support adjusting what so ever. The staff were very friendly prior to receiving our tuition in full. After this the atmosphere became cold and indifferent (once you agree to attend, the money is their's regardless of wether your child fits there or continues to attend). My child was previously very excited to go to school, but after experiences at Hayfield, has left with a negative association. I was given the opportunity to observe on numerous occasions and the problems I observed were clearly due to an under-concerned staff, or possibly under-skilled. I was impressed by the look of the school and all the available resources, but those things can't replace kindness. I watched through the observation window as children were permitted to harass my child, however, when my child responded he was punished. It was a terrible mistake to send my child here. A great deal of damage to my child's confidence and self-esteem has been the result. My child, once extremely outgoing and sweet, now seems unhappy and self-conscious that he is not or will not be liked by others.
This school has exceeded all of my expectations. The teachers are top quality and the classrooms are the best stocked Montessori classrooms I have ever seen, hundreds of "works" for the kids to explore. My kids love coming to school everyday and that is the best feedback that I can relay.
