Terry Williams: I am the PTA President and father of 2 girls (4th and 3rd graders).
Our school has come a long way in the test scores. First, we are in the second year of our new school, the original school was built in 1956 and the kids had to endure demolition and all sorts of dirt and dust. Second, we hired a new principle, Mrs. Robertson, who cares about these kids and their FAMILIES!! Familiy is the biggest reason these kids are doing better. If you can get the family to "buy-in" to the education, the kids will follow.
I love Overdale and the teachers, I feel that this school is moving in the right direction.

I am a proud parent of a kindergartener that goes to overdale I am so glad he has the teacher he has so is just amazing to what i have gotten to know her and I am glad that he gets to go to overdale this year.

Brenda Henry: I hated the old school. My grandson very first day, 5 years old they put him on the wrong bus. I waited at the day care for a long time before they finally found him. i then went to school to get him and guess what, no one cared about what they did to him. No one said they were sorry to him, nor me, no one tried to comfort him. He was in a new school, new town, just lost his Dad and no one cared!!! Now that he has adjusted and my daughter bought a house so that he could continue the same school, not to have to go thru another change, you have decided to redistrict. Why are you doing this to these small children? They all go thru so much these days, single parents, having to work all the time just to make it. They need stability, especially in thrse first years. They don't need to be shuffled around all the time. What is wrong with you people? Do you not remember your early years, how frightening everything was. For a small community, your friendliness lacks a lot, so does your compassion for these small children.
