Southern High School Magnet Career Acade Reviews
This place is a breeze. If you want to have four years of free time, go ahead and choose this school. It is slowly improving, but I emphasize slowly. If you want to easily be at the top or near the top of your class, this is the place for you. There is a decent history department. There is a poor math department. English is taught well after sophomore year. Sciences are below average. Spanish is the only offered foreign language, and some of its best teachers have left. Business, auto tech, and the computer programs would be the highlights of this school. The atmosphere squelches school spirit; attendance is poor at sport venues. Not a whole lot of community building- too much disunity. There's only a handful of motivated students, teachers, and administration.
This school is awesome. The staff members are wonderful and they take a loy of pride in what they do!
