Paducah Tilghman High School Reviews
I agree with other posting. PTHS is judged by all around. It's the school everyone loves to hate. It is a city school so the overall stats maybe lower but that doesn't mean the opportunities aren't available. Lots of AP class's. Sports are big and many teams have won regional district and state titles. History and tradition the longest in the area. It's also represents the diversity of the REAL WORLD and I want my kids to learn about this as well. I grew up in county and my husband city. We are sending our kids in city schools and I'd have it no other way.
It's harshly judged but one of the best schools in the area. The scores are low because there are a lot of lower range students, but if you were to look at the individual scoring it also has the highest in Western Kentucky. It is an amazing school with school pride like no one else! My daughter moved her freshman year of high school from the McCracken Co school district and I've seen a complete change in her. It really is an outstanding school with amazing staff and students. If you give it a chance, you won't regret it!! Tilghman Pride!
