Strode Station Elementary School Reviews
My children have attended Strode Station Elementary for the past 3 years. Strode is the newer school in Clark Co. with having the most computers, access to resources, etc. However, it is a SHAME that the school doesn't put these to good use! When taking a tour of the school when first moving here from out of state, the school looks and seems very impressive. But after having to send my children there, and doing some research online, I now know it is a unorganized, overpopulated, unsafe, negative school. I now wish I hadn't moved! My son is going into the 4th grade, barely knowing how to read, write, do mathematics, etc. I am a very intelligent, involved, educated, self-employed parent who takes education seriously. My son is involved in many sports, & has many friends, never a behavior problem! However, he begged me EVERYDAY NOT to send him to school! His teachers have been belittling, embarrassing, mean, rude, overwhelmed, etc. I walked in on his class, to find his teacher sitting at her desk histerically crying! My son's class had 25 students!!! Also, many parents have been known to walk in and make threats to students, with the principal knowing, & nothing being done! My neighbors child has came home with several black eyes from bus wrecks, etc. Very unsafe environment! Last year, a child brought a gun to school! Parents, if you care anything about your children, please do the homework, know your laws, research, & ask questions before sending your precious babies here. If you don't, you will regret it!
