Baton Rouge Visual and Performing Arts Center
Erin Oswalt: My children's school accepts students on a lottery basis, yet it is a 2012 Magnet School of Excellence. It is a brilliant testament to the fact that every child can excel given caring, engaged parents, faculty and staff. Each child grasps the material as the curricula is reinforced in music, physical education, creative writing, drama, library and art in addition to traditional classroom disciplines. We love our school!

Baton Rouge Visual and Performing Arts Center
This is a wonderful school for building a childs self esteem. The children have arts classes (visual art, dance, music, physical eduation, drama, creative writing, library and instrumental music) twice a week and thouroughly enjoy it. Not only are the children getting an excellent academic education, but they are given the opporturnity to experience the arts in detail.
