Parent: The best non-magnet school in the state. And to respond to what the disgruntled poster above has written about the school... Not every kid can get an "A". If you are disappointed, perhaps you're expectations are too high for your child.

The school somewhat follows the Parish guidelines, however there are several teachers who do their own thing. If your child is a slow learner, don't expect much cooperation. The tend to teach only to higher or gifted child with little or nor regard to the child with difficulties. They also do not handle behavior problems well.

If you have a slow learner Stockwell place is not the school for your child. Teachers are not helpful and don't show concern for the average to below average student. They only concentrate on those students that can achieve high scores so they can keep their Blue Ribbon Status. My child has suffered all through Stockwell.
