This is supposed to be a " Christian" school. However, they recently ( august,2011)excluded a 10 y.o. child who attended this past year. The reason ? They said that this child was unable to learn and that they refused to allow her to re enroll. This would not have been so bad had they actually told the child's parent or guardian over the summer..but they waited till it was time to enroll for the current school year...and then told the child's guardian. Had the school informed the child's guardian ahead of time, perhaps over the summer the child could have worked on areas that needed to be addressed. Because nothing was said or implied, the child's guardian assumed that she would be attending again this year. Not only was the child disappointed in not being able to be with familiar classmates, the child's parent was quite upset at not being treated fairly. I do personally know others who attend this school. I know that the guidelines say not to use the terms principal or name any names.
There is more to this than can be typed here. I will not say anything disparaging about anyone,but would just advise people to visit any private school...and talk to other parents of children who actually attend this school. Then one can make an informed choice.
I do not know how this school ranks, but do know that in general, the Denham Springs public schools are ranked very high. I would urge anyone to consider all of their choices in Denham Springs...and to be dilligent if they do have issues or problems in any school.
