Buckeye Elementary School Reviews
Decent school if your from here and don't know anything different.
I suppose if your from Louisiana this schools provides a decent education compared to other schools in the area. I'm from out of state and can not believe how far behind the school is though. The teachers are nice enough, but that doesn't make up for lack of eduction.
The principal is nice enough. The teacher that my son had in 2nd grade has shown absolutely no educational interest in him. We asked that he be tested for gifted or 3rd grade placement. Neither the teacher nor the principal honored our request until it was too late to matter. The teacher constantly picks on our son. She gives him tickets for the stupidest reasons and doesn't actually teach so much as give the answers. She singles him out and is currently trying to keep him from attending an AR party even though he passed with flying colors. Compared to other schools in other states, Louisiana schools are very far behind. Thank goodness we are moving soon...and to a state that cares about education.
I am a parent of 2 kids that have and are still experiencing the Buckeye Elementary Schools and I can't say enough good about them. Both of my boys loved each and every teacher they had/have and I am loving our current experience as well as the one we had 5 years ago! All of the teachers have a very positive attitude and go above and beyond for all students (not just theirs). We purposly moved to the school zone for the level of academic praise that this school gets.
