Harahan Elementary School Reviews
My son went to the Pre-k 4 and for the entire year learned basically nothing. I had worked with him before he started and he accomplished writing his first name and knew all his colors and almost all his shapes but for some reason I was not able to get him to pay attention to me while showing him his abc's. I was excited to enroll him into pre-k and I thought that by the half year in he would be knowing all the letters in the alphabet and counting up to a good amount of numbers. I started seeing that he wasn't writing his name as good and that the words in his last name he had forgotten. He always got that happy smile every day from the teacher. She would tell me in the parent/teacher conferences that he was doing well. The only thing that I noticed improved was his vocabulary and his ability to express with others but at the end of the year I was very upset that he had not learned at least the basics. You would think that after spending from 8:40- 3:35 every day he would of had learned a whole lot more. To top it off we had to pay tuition since pre-k is not required and we did not qualify. We regreted putting him in there since we had practically thrown our money away and our son would of been better staying at home or even at a day care center!
