The integrated Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (iLEAP) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 in math and English language arts. In grades 3, 5, 6 and 7 students are assessed in science and social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are scored at one of five levels: advanced, mastery, basic, approaching basic and unsatisfactory. The goal is for all students to score at or above the basic level.

Lafayette Middle School
This is a "nightmare" situation for most teachers. Most students are unmanageable, undisciplined, and totally lacking in social skills. If you think the students are "bad", you should see the parents. Some teachers have had to avoid the parents of students with discipline problems in order to avoid a physical confrontation. As for the student teacher ratio some classes have well over 26 students per class. Depending on what you want your kid to learn (inappropiate behavior vs. acceptable behavior) should decide which school you enroll your child.
