What is it?
The integrated Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (iLEAP) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 in math and English language arts. In grades 3, 5, 6 and 7 students are assessed in science and social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are scored at one of five levels: advanced, mastery, basic, approaching basic and unsatisfactory. The goal is for all students to score at or above the basic level.

Lexington Elementary School
I am an after-school teacher. I work at St. Paul's Methodist Church which is directly across from Lexington Elementary School. I work with first grade students. It is my pleasure to be involved with this school through an after-school program. This program allows the parents to pick the children up after they get off from work. After the students unwind for awhile, then we begin homework. Usually, they are through with their assignments by the time the parents pick them up. Lexington Elementary School is a wonderful school and I enjoy their students!
