Bishop Mcmanus Academy Reviews
this school teachers have no control over their student low discipline , very strict takes your merit about every little thing , slow to send lessons back, if a child is challenged some teachers say fix it.
what i think about this school is this is my first year and this will be my final year i do not like my teachers at all the teachers do not teach the only time they do is when its time for a test or a quiz the computers are horrible they oftenly do not work in need of repairs, grades you wrong on test and quizzes , the church religion is very awkward for me because i am not non-denominational because i do not know any of their songs. the uniform for the girls consist of nothing but gray palid skirts which i have been teased about because it was too long and the list goes on and on
I disagree with the negative reviews that have been posted. My son attended kindergarten this past school year and was given a great foundation. He is able to read, write, and know his multiplication facts up to 7. However, I have a niece at a so-call "Elite" elementary, who is in 2nd grade, and barely knows addition and subtraction. We are very pleased with the progress that our son has made. I find that McManus is a very structured and disciplined environment. Those who have spoiled brats for children and lack respect for adults and schoolmates are going to have difficulty adjusting to school life (any school) as oppose to home. McManus students have great pride and dignity about themselves. My suggestions to those parents who are not pleased with McManus Academy or any other school, you must "Inspect what you Expect." It takes a village to raise a child, and if you don't want your child to be told anything or behavior corrected, you are right....Bishop McManus Academy is not the school for you child. Good luck!!!
I have to agree 10000% with the reviews above. This school does not, and I repeate does NOT prepare and teach your kids ANYTHING. The teachers are too busy worrying about what the older students do in their personal lives rather than helping the student learn more. They look down on others students if theyre not apart of the City Church. It's sad because I actually thought my kids were learning something. They personal like to torture you kids if they don't agree with they say. I.e. , giving you child a detention for something stupid and irrelevant, and they would blame it all on the child. The facade the whole faculty puts up is crazy. Teachers hit on other kids and talks about them, go through their personal stuff and shock the schools religious beliefs down the kids throat. This place is a waste of money and PLEASE don't reccomend this school to anyone. Money draing, time consuming, and overalls bad experience for my daughter. They scared us for life.
The is a CULT that poses as a school for monetary gain. BMA does NOT prepare your kids to compete in the real world. If you are not a member of that church your kids are made to feel like an outsider. DO NOT send your child to Bishop mcManus Academy. This CULT DOES NOT deserve 1 star. If you love your kids & want them to have a quality education BMA IS NOT the school for you.
religious beliefs is not what they enforce. cult like environment. only interested in your money and not the well being of your child. it's not what it looks like beautiful from the outside and corruption filled on the inside. lower the student self esteem and does not live up to their standards. very dissapointed. no communication or contact with parents if/when requested. your child will be mistreated if their not a member there organization. Save your money......it's just online computer courses. combined classes. safety is highly questionable..
This school discourages individual expression. It will destroy the self esteem of a child who is not as religious. The schoo's website does not accurately display who or what they really promote. It is highly religious to cult like standards. The teachers are disrespectful to the children under the umbrella of discipline. Do NOT send your child to this school.
I would not recommend this school to any parent. I believe that this organization is a cult. Please do not send your child to this school. The school does not abide by there mission or vision statement for the community.
Very dissapointing. Teachers offer nothing but severe discipline without direction or instruction. Communication with parents is minimal. No athletic eqquipment is purchased and the building is in need of repairs.
