I think G.W. Carver is a great school but just like any other school we have our problems. We do need better teachers and a better staff that shows effort in helping us. I do think the dress code is stupid because we should be able to wear any kind of shoes we want. This school has its troubles just like any other school but we are known for our band and football team. Many people have to Carver and have succeeded in life.

G.W. Carver High School
monica: i think this school is a good school they just need better teachers.I also think that the students make the school. As far as the dress code the students should be able to wear what ever kind of shoes as long as they show up ready to learn. The shoes dont have anything to do with an education, its what the child/student wants for themselves.
This school is the worst in the new orleans area. The staff does not care about the school at all and they constantly change dumbfound rules everyday. My son was suspended out of school because he wore the wrong color shoes which is a rule they newly started enforcing without an notice to parents. The teachers are their only for the little money they get because my son was failed by his teacher who gave no work during the school year nor did he teach the subject that is a core subject to the students. Many students made complaints and the teacher has still not been dealt with appropiately. This school often has fights in which the staff lets them untill a certain point in time. This school is still in trailers which has mold stuffed in the ceilings and they deny it even when a science teacher found it and got ill from it. People if you want your childs to be successful do not send them to this Nazi Concentration Camp of a school, instead pay your hearts out for your childs education or send him/her to a better school.
