John McDonogh Senior High School

I'm really upset to see how far down the John Mc Donogh Senior high Schoole has gone. I'm was a resident of New Orleans, finished Mc Donogh 28 in 1939. At that time Mc Donogh was and all girl school it reputation was considered one of the finest schools in the city. I attended White High School on Esplanade Ave. Mr. Geoffrey was the orchestra conductor for both schools. I played trumpet in both orchestras. In 1943 I graduated from S.J. Peters Boys High school. and joined the Marine Band it was the fine training I received at John Mc Donogh in the New Orleans school system. I'm a combat veteran, of WW II and Korea. 1950 I recieved my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Loyola University. In 1965 I was employed as the Band Director of John Mc Donogh Senior High. After 17 year of teaching in 1968 resigned my position.
