Betty: This school has slipped through the cracks of a larger political game being played by Fort Kent and MSAD 27. Though Eagle Lake and the supporting community of Winterville pay over a million dollars annually in taxes, they can not get teachers and thus have combined classes which is partly responsible for the declining test scores. The lack of funds received to operate from Fort Kent means no text books for many subjects for our children and lack of extra services to us that are offered to Fort Kent. They use the tax dollars from the smaller communities but leave them to flounder. Not only is Eagle Lake academically behind Fort Kent, it is even further behind the state.

Morgan: This is a wonderful school that is able to offer small classes, with a great chance for one on one attention in the classroom. The school has a supportive staff that care for their students and their local community.
