My son goes to BTW and i am very impressed with the staff led by Dr. McGruder. they take their jobs to heart and have a no nonsense policy about their teacher methods. They not only reach out to the students; they also work with the families to help the children achieve their education, and stay focused on their Arts program. Keep up the great work guys, we are counting on you to help our young teens to shine!!!!!!!!!

This school was a mess last year but has turned around and looks great the students are doing better. The new Principal Dr. Euna McGruder seems to care about the students. I think the school is on the right track

Donna Johnson: I am sad to read that there is no structure or caring going at my old school. I graduate from BTW in 1971 and am very sad abou the lack of teaching going on.

i went to this school on 02/24/10 to check up on my child and was disgusted by what i saw. The students were all over the place in and out of thier classes. they were disrespectful in front of parents and falculty. the class my son was in was in an absolute uproar and the teacher did nothing to regain order.
my son was SITTING IN THE WINDOW chatting away with his friends as if they were outside, no one was doing any work and the classroom was filthy. if this is what school is like for our children, what kind of futures do they have to look forward to.
