Brooklyn Park Middle School Reviews
im in the pva program and i dont really like it at all. i dont really like this school at all either. the teachers dont listen and they think that you dont have a right to speak ( except for the 6th grade teachers who actually listen). i dont like how were treated in the magnet program at all. i think we should be able to choose certain things that we want to do for once. 'Good day to you all'
Brooklyn Park Middle School has recently obtained a magnet program. PVA (Performing and Visual Arts) has completly changed how the school teaches thier students. PVA is a magnent program in which you as a student do alot work with the arts. Whether or not you enter into PVA for performing or visual arts you still get a good taste of all of the art forms. If you aren't in PVA you still do alot of arts intergrated work. Teachers might incorporate drama or painting into a lesson. In 2011-2012 school year BPMS got two new teachers that teach Chorus and the other who teaches instrumental music. At Music in the Parks BPMS won 5 trophies and 2 medals for chorus and instrumental music.
Brooklyn Park Middle School is a breath of fresh air. We were new to the district, so didn't know what to expect, my daughter's grades improved dramatically in just her first year here and she has been on the honor roll ever since. The staff is amazing, they took my daughter in and made her feel welcome. The teachers make learning fun and I am excited about the arts integration program that was implemented this year. So glad we made the move!
BPMS has a balanced staff of experienced teachers. There are a few amazing teachers there like every school has. My son has a teacher working on her doctorate - she is student-centered and activity based. She and the principal came are friends and came from the same county. There is a lot of promise at BPMS.
