i have a son with adhd and very bad anxiety disorders...where he shuts out the world at times....deep creek middle is one of the worst schools ....teachers dont no who to talk to the kids at all...i have a brain tumor and one of the 8th gr teacher ask my son to swear to god on his mother's life...

Deep Creek Middle School
I can not stand the administrative team at Deep Creek Middle School. My son has had to endure months of bullying even after he reported it to the office staff. I never recieved a phone call or a letter saying that anything was going on. They admit that my son has placed several reports and no one ever thought to notify me. My son finally told me what had been happening and I called the school the very next day. They assure me that they are doing everything in their power to keep my son safe, yet the bullying continues. My son is a straight A student who is afraid to go to school. He suffers daily with bullying. He refuses to use the bathrooms in fear that he will be attacked. I have been told that I should change schools. I do not feel as though i should have to remove my son from his school because the teachers and administration are unable to control the animal like atmosphere. The hall ways are absolutely out of control as well as the lunch room and buses. In my opinion this school is the worst school in Baltimore County. Turning a "Blind Eye" is an understatement. If I could afford to put my son in private school i would and this school is the reason.

Deep Creek Middle School
KT: Great school for the Magnet and/or GT program. All of those teachers are very in tune with the children. There is little to zero behavioral issues with this group of students. I was worried reading the past reviews but this current school year is going very smoothly. I recently attended a PTA meeting where only 3 other parents attended. I firmly believe that parents should be involved and stay involved to keep a pulse on what is happening, as well as having input.

Tracey rascoe: This school is horrible. My son has anxiety and lots of other emotional problems. The teacher confused him by letting him stand and walk in back of her room then next day told him he couldn't do it. He was expelled from that school beginning of May and was given a tutor only to have seen her max 4times. He was not allowed to return to school. He was never in a fight, never assaulted anyone, and did not disrespect the teachers. They expelled him because they said he didn't follow directions and they didn't know what else to do.

No principal at this time. lots of fights and I think possibly some racial problems. I do not want my child to attend this school, but private school is very expensive. Our children need teachers that do not tolarate bad behavior in the classroom. I would not want to be in middle school again, I think our kids have to deal with alot. Deep Creek & all schools have our children in their hands. It should all be about learning. I went to American Education week and the classrooms were not like when I went to school. Even with parents in the classes children still acted out. They were talking over the teachers and it seemed to just be the norm. In the hallways between classes is crazy, yelling and no order at all. The kids are rushed from class to class, it is very fast paced. I was very tired when I left. Children also need to respect the teachers too. I want my child out of this school. Children need to learn about life, and sometimes it is hard. Should I leave my child here or send him to another school. This is really hard. What is the future of all of our children. I am dissapointed in this school at this time. But these are the times we live in. maybe Charter Schools are the answer, If the schools are run like a business and the numbers don't match or are not up to par then, someone is responsible,then held accountable. I feel we would have better results. I am considering removing my child from this school. Oh yes they have computers lot's of them, but our children need teachers more.

keekee: Well I used to get to this school for 6-8 grade and it’s a really nice school and it’s a magnet school. You really get to know and learn everything you need to no. The teachers are okay for the most part. They have a college class called avid. Math from pre thinking to Algebra 2 they also have Spanish. They have just getting a basketball team about almost 3years a go boys and girls, they all so have a girl’s step team. And all kind of after school programs. Well this would be a nice middle school to go to for all three years of middle school.
