Hillcrest Elementary School Reviews
2010-2011 was our first year at HES. I was EXTREMELY hesitant and nervous about sending my 1st grader here given the schools test scores and county reviews. We were previously at Orchard Grove Elem. My daughter was COMPLETELY miserable at OGES. Since the transfer, I have seen a HUGE improvement in her self confidence, grades, morale, etc. I can honestly say, we love HES. The teachers are wonderful and the staff is polite, caring and helpful. I have yet to meet 1 rude staff/teacher here. Unlike OGES. The staff at OGES were rude and unapproachable. Teachers were the same. I would tell anyone who asked me about Hillcrest Elem that we absolutely love it and are receiving excellent educaation w/ MANY MANY more resources than any other school I researched. Two thumbs up, 5 stars all the way across the board. My daughter actually enjoys getting up in the morning and looks forward to class. It was a constant fight when attending OGES and I've never met a kid who cried over going to school. Mine did. She HATED Karen Rudy and the rest of her teachers. I could go on all day. If you are in the HES district and are unsure if this is the right fit for you, IT IS. I am a member of the PTA if you have any questions for me.
