Lucy School

The Mission of Lucy School is to provide a child-centered and individualized arts enriched program.

Set within a small and familial environment on a 17- acre farm, Lucy School nurtures a love and respect for community, family, nature and the environment.  

Founded in 2002 as an arts-based preschool and kindergarten, Lucy School now offers a superb primary program through second grade.

Arts-based teaching is more hands-on than traditional teaching, offering children more opportunities to experience “living through situations” than they would in a traditional classroom, thereby developing a level of critical thinking and problem solving skills that is not afforded in traditional educational settings.  Since the primary grades were established at Lucy School, the majority of children leaving are above grade level in all subject areas.
