My niece is a student at Crossland Evening School and was robbed at gunpoint while waiting for the bus right in front of the school on Monday March 14, 2011 along with another female that was robbed and 2 other boys that were robbed and beat with the gun. Can anyone explain to me: WHY WERE THE SECURITY GUARDS THAT WERE ON DUTY THAT NIGHT AT 10:00 PM DID NOTHING? AN OUTSIDER ON THE STREET SAW WHAT WAS GOING ON AND CALLED THE POLICE. MY NEICE IS TRAMATIZED. WHAT IS GOING TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS??? I WANT THE 2 GUARDS FIRED ASAP!!!!! IF NOTHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT THIS THEN I WILL CALL MY CONGRESS PERSON.

What is it?
The Maryland High School Assessment program (HSA) includes annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
High School students are assessed upon completion of courses in English 2, Algebra, Biology, and Government.
How is it Scored?
Students receive a scaled score for each test. Passing scores for the HSA are 412 for Algebra, 400 for Biology, 394 for Government and 396 for English 2. The percentage of students to score at or above the proficient level are shown here. Starting with the class of 2009, students must pass all tests to graduate.
