The Pike School Reviews
The Pike School provides students with a vigorous curriculum that prepares students for high school. It is a co-educational preparatory day school for students aging from pre-kindergarden to a smaller ninth grade program. The Pike School has a very difficult curriculum that can be stressful at some points, but for the students it is a motivation and great thing in terms of high school preparation. The students are NOT obnoxious, rude or ignorant and students are kind amongst each other. The teachers give you independence that helps you to develop your own individuality. The teachers and students mesh well together and you develop exceptional relationships amongst other students and teachers. Pike has a wonderful arts program that includes theatre (grade 6-9), art and music. Students begin taking a foreign language in the 6th grade and are taking French or Spanish. Beginning in the 7th grade students take Latin or extension which is a program for students that need assistance in a particular subject. Usually there is not many students in extension, but it is nothing to be ashamed of. You learn the basic skills needed for the rest of your life and active reading, note taking, study skills and strategies, essay writing, social skills, being kind to others etc; by the end of 8th/9th grade they become natural for you. I highly recommend that you send your children to Pike. By the way, I am a current student.
