Clinton Middle School
I am a parent of a 7th grade girl and will try to sum this up thes best and quickest way possible. Do not belive the message you will receive when calling this school before you call is directed where the principal accounces that this is a school with wonderful students and wonderful teachers. The Principal, Vice Principal and GUidance office needs to open their eyes and see that there is also teacher bulleying going on with some of the teachers towards certain students. My daughter has advised the appropriate parties about this and it has not being taken seriously. Maybe they cannot conceive the idea that not all the teachers in the middle school are excellent. I know first hand that while they do have quite a few excellent teachers they do have those that need to be under serious review. The administration should also be under review as they may not be bulleying students but they sure are not taking this seriously. Middle School is a very tough age, both for the students and the teachers. One has to wonder if these teachers dont know how to deal with this very delicate age why they are teachers. It is not an easy position by any stretch however as parents we entrust our children to these teachers to be just that. I am not the only parent experiencing this I know of atleast 2 other parents who are going through the same thing. Here is the validation of what my daughter was telling me about 3 of the 7th grade teachers was true. When having a conversation with a friend of mine she was explaining how her some was treated badly by these same exact teachers and what was said and how they treated him was right in line with what my daughter had said about them. I then returned this validation back to her for her son. When is something going to be done and when will someone take this seriously.

What is it?
The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are assessed in English language arts and math, and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science.
How is it Scored?
Students score at one of four levels: above proficient/advanced, proficient, needs improvement and warning/failing. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. Students must pass the grade 10 MCAS in order to graduate from high school.
