Craneville Elementary School
Lisa Reiter: This school is amazing. The teachers really engage the students and make learning fun. They offer both instrumental and vocal music starting in 4th grade and the kids get very excited about it. They also are a mainstream school with disabled kids in the classrooms giving the disabled kids a chance to excel. Amazing and wonderful teachers at this school give the children many opportunities to explore their studies both in and out of the classroom. We've only been with this school 3 years and my daughter loves it and I love it. The principal and the teachers work side by side with parents to help with any conflicts that might arise and they are quickly put to rest. They teach teamwork and compassion while educating children in many different ways. A great school just an amazing place.

What is it?
The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are assessed in English language arts and math, and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science.
How is it Scored?
Students score at one of four levels: above proficient/advanced, proficient, needs improvement and warning/failing. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. Students must pass the grade 10 MCAS in order to graduate from high school.
