Ashmont Nursery School

Moonyes: This school is truly developmentally appropriate, the only place I have seen like this.  Public Schools are pressured, therefore know what they are doing isn't in the kids best interest, but... there are those tests.
Families come from Dorchester, and neighboring communities.  You can have children coming from families of lawyers, firemen and construction workers, as well as from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
 It is a cooperative with strong parent involvement, one parent plus three teachers each day.  They have monthly field trips and in house guest teachers.  Learning through their initiated play, these children leave ready to go...   I recommend it 100% for most kids!  Both my grandchildren went there.    ...... a public school teacher
