Silverpsruce has been a wonderful experience for my children. Thet are happy, confident, and prepared. Teachers are qualified and have open door policies to their classrooms.

my children are happy and love to learn in this school environment. what i really love as a parent is the open door policy. the classroom has an observation room that i can go in at any time to observe my children. they truly follow the montessori philosophy of follow the child.

lubah: my 4 yr old is thriving here - already reading, writing clearly, learning to be self sufficient, singing geography songs ... we're very happy with our choice. what a great layout - and such a beautiful setting!

This school is very dedicated to each and every child. It has a strong social and academic foundation. The above person is very misguided and does not speak for the hundreds of families who have been part of the school community.

They do not pay the individual attention to the child that goes with the Montessori teaching and practice. My child was bilingual, and they did not like that, they wanted to encourage speaking only English- completely against what Montessori should be. I would avoid this school.

Be careful about the surface "niceness"- We had a very bad experience with my preschooler. We put about 1 year worth of effort in looking for a good school, and boy, what a mistake we made choosing this one. They promised one thing before enrolling, and after that, as soon as the child was "slightly different than the others", they did not want to put up with it, and just "blend him in the crowd". As soon as that did not happend, they just ignored him, and he got to where he would come very upset at home, back from school. Poor communication between the director of the school and the teachers- they say one thing and fail to deliver on their promise.
If there's a conflict or issue, they will not work with you to resolve it. Also, if your child needs more time to learn and make friends, they are not willing to give him this. A very big dissapointment and unpleasant experience for my kid.
