Joyce Kimani: Essex Aggie is an amazing school full of dedicated teachers and students.  It is a public school where core subjects are taught along with agricultural subjects. No, students don't learn how to be a farmer here.  They learn skills in programs such as Veterinary Technology and Equine Science, Veterinary Technology and Research Animal Management, and Companion Animal and Pet Shop Management in the Animal Science majors.  In plant science majors, they learn Greenhouse and Garden Center Management, Landscaping and Arboriculture, or Natural Resources and Parks Management. Environmental science is where students can become Marine Scientists, Naturalist, Survey Engineering, or Wildlife Conservationists to name a few.  Students who come to the Aggie really want to be here and really want to succeed.  85% of our students go on to college and some start their own businesses after high school.  If you want to be successful, this is the place to go.
