About the MCAS

What is it?

The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are assessed in English language arts and math, and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science.

How is it Scored?

Students score at one of four levels: above proficient/advanced, proficient, needs improvement and warning/failing. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. Students must pass the grade 10 MCAS in order to graduate from high school.

Squantum is the very best school. It has it all from nice parents to nice staff and is a bully free school. if you are looking for a friendly, safe environment this is a great place to start!!!

Squantum Elementary School

I've been at Squantum my whole life and continue to LOVE it. I've never had a problem with any of the staff, parents or fellow students. The neighborhood it self is very tight-knit and is filled with very friendly people. Our slogan says it all, Squantum is great place to start!
