What is it?

The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are assessed in English language arts and math, and in grades 5, 8 and 10 in science.

How is it Scored?

Students score at one of four levels: above proficient/advanced, proficient, needs improvement and warning/failing. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level. Students must pass the grade 10 MCAS in order to graduate from high school.

I think Wire Village School (WVS) is a great school that has alot of options and support to almost all of the students including me, and the school has a mediation room. So that kids can figure out problems that they share with the other student...; and kids can also be some the of the mediators with Ms. Ferrand.
