I have three children in the Almont District who have grown up in this school system. I have one in the High School, one in Middle School and one in Elementary. We have been very pleased with the district. The administrators have always put the children first in any financial and academic decisions. My son has not had any of the issues a previous reviewer reports about the high school. It has been smooth sailing so far. We do have a newly hired Superintendent who may take us in a different direction, but so far, so good.

I came to Almont thinking that it would be a good school to send my children. They have gone to school in Almont since kindergarten and I thought that they would be there until they graduated. The orchard Primary, the Elementary, and the JR High were just incredible places my children to learn and grow. Now that they are starting High school I have had a serious change of heart. They make the rules at the high school as they go. They search the students with little or no reason behind it and in some cases result in suspensions with no real proof. I feel bad that it has came to a point in which I am strongly considering having to remove them from the district. I am glad that we live where there is school of choice.
