About This School
Alternative schools are public schools that offer nontraditional education for students whose needs cannot be met in a regular, special education, or vocational school. While alternative schools are distinct from regular, special education, and vocational schools in their teaching approach or classroom environment, they can provide similar services and/or curriculum for students. Alternative schools include schools for potential dropouts, residential treatment centers for substance abuse, schools for chronic truants, and schools for students with behavioral problems. Community High School Reviews
I love the openness and acceptance of each student's individuality. Teachers are caring, kind and generous with their time.
Community high school is and amazing public school. They have a lottery to decide which students from Ann Arbor will make up the student body. Their mascot is a rainbow zebra. It is keeping with their philosophy of diversity and acceptance for all. The teachers are dedicated and really enjoy what they are doing. I feel that by getting into this school my children have received a private education in a public school.
