ACo: I went to Central starting in 2001, and graduated in 2004. My GPA was nothing special, mostly because I was lazy and had aspirations I thought were more important than education.

Most of the teachers that I had were really good or the best, and some of them still teach there now. While attending the school, I think people placed too much importance on the school's athletics programs. Especially the teachers who were also coaches. It was always frustrating to see athletics promoted and funded at the expense of the arts/music/language programs.

The school had a reputation among the other high schools' students of being really dangerous; everyone has knives and guns, and there are gangs and fights every day that turn into riots. It's laughable really. There was the occasional fight, but it was usually two girls fighting about a boy or something. I never felt that my safety was threatened while attending Central. I'm sure there were gang members in the school, but none of them ever bothered or threatened me personally, nor did they bother anyone that I knew personally.

Putting in the metal detectors (after I graduated) was a knee-jerk reaction to some Amish school shooting; not to anything that was happening in the school. My niece graduated from there two years ago, and according to her, nothing's really changed. Her younger sister starts there next year, and I'm not worried.

BehindtheCuRtAiN: this school is only fit for those parents who want their children to be come an underachiever or are to poor to ship them to another school good news is if it keeps going this way eventually students will be shipped to schools who provide a good education because Michigan has a law where if the test scores in a school are not high enough it gets shut down but as for getting better id say that was a  hell freezing over, including a whole book shelf of fairy tales that actually come true, wow now that would be awesome so it must be to good to be true crime is mid-high around the school and many students are involved in gangs avoid this school no matter what.
