About This School
Magnet schools are public schools that offer a specialized curriculum or educational philosophy, often with a specific focus or theme. Benton Harbor Charter School Reviews
The entire staff at Benton Harbor Charter School is focused on student achievement and success. The school does require parent involvement, which can be reading with students during school or folding and stapling books for students from home. They try to have programs and groups for students to be involved in throughout the year. There are also expected standards or behavior and attire that are held to. However, the teachers have no job security and are under great pressure to ensure student success and performance on the standardized tests.
I use to be a teacher at this school and I would highly recommend this school to anyone. I loved working there so much! The leadership is tough and that's what makes things run so smoothly. Disruptive and unsafe behavior is not accepted and some parents have a hard time with this and that's why the school gets bad reviews. If you want your child to be in an enviornment that is rigorous, safe and college motivated, then BHCS is for you!
