Pattengill School
I think the teachers in this school are wonderful, however the principal I find to be very condescending to the children as well as the parents. She does not take kindly at all to any type if criticism and is not understanding to any issues myself or some other parents have had. I find her to be very unprofessional. In the few years my child had been there I've only seen her a handful of times. She did not even attend a school dance and during other school events acts as if she's a parent there for the event and not the principal. During a music concert she just stood in the back of the room. The school is not inviting and if it weren't for the amazing teachers I would've pulled my child out already. It's very disappointing.

What is it?
The Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) is an annual test administered in the fall of the school year and used to assess a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students are assessed in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading, and writing, in grades 5 and 8 in science, and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies.
How is it Scored?
Students are rated at one of four levels:exceeded standards (level 1), met standards (level 2), basic (level 3) and apprentice (level 4). The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard (levels 1 and 2).
